Lino-printing Nikita's Flag

I didn't need to design Nikita's flag digitaly, since she wanted me to copy a design of a tattoo she has on her arm. I asked her to send me a photo of the design and I adjusted it slightly to fit the dimensions of the print plate (since I want all the flags to be a consistent size).

The design represents how, when she feels stuck in her life / like she is carrying around emotonal baggage, she books a flight and takes a trip which brings her insight, connection and spiritual enlightenment. I tried printing the plate in Nikita's chosen colours (yellow, orange and blue) as well as white on a different variety of coloured papers.

Nikita seemed really happy with this flag design and said that no other symbol would make her feel the way this one does.
