Ania's Portrait

I really love the colours Ania chose for her portrait - which represent her positive and uplifting personality and caring nature. I also liked her expression in the photograph I decided to work from, which gives an impression of resillience and quiet strength.

In the photograph she was wearing flower earrings which I decided to include in the composition.

The right side of her face was in shadow, so I tried to capture the contrast between light and dark.

I'm really happy with how this one turned out - it's one of my favourites. I wonder if I am getting better at the portraits, the more that I do... And how they would progress if I kept going and did more than the ten participants of my project.
