I spent 4 weeks in Kosovo and North Macedonia in June / July 2026, below are some watercolours I made of the local buildings and architecture. I spent two weeks in Kosovo, staying in the capital, Pristina and visiting the town of Gračanica and the city of Prizren during the trip.

I've been exploring the capital of North Macedonia, which has some very impressive historical architecture in the centre, a charming old town bazaar with cobble stone streets and a sprawling metropolitan area with small churches dispersed in between apartment blocks. Peculiarly, on the river in the city centre there are three large pirate ships, two of which are used as restaurants, whereas the third appears to be abandoned but can be accessed by a bridge from the river bank.

The Brexiles exhibition was displayed in Toxteth Town Hall as part of Liverpool European Festival 2026. The portraits were accompanied by print-outs of the information booklet, so that viewers could see the stories behind the artworks and read quotes from the interviews I undertook as part of the project documenting British citizens who had left the UK to live in the EU.

Sketches from my recent trip to Cyprus. I stayed predominantly in Paphos, which has several archaeological sites, as well as a nearby monastery and nature trail in a gorge - which I visited. On Sunday 29th March (my 32nd birthday) I ran my first half marathon - in Sheffield, the city which has been my home for the last 10 years! I completed the half marathon in 2:06:27, (which was a lot faster than I was expecting) with my partner, Johann Hubmann.
