I was attempting to photograph my first "Po-hate-o Sack" painting on a plain white background...

When my overly-inquisitive cats decided to inspect my handiwork...

Gwinnie then decided to climb inside...

At least proving that it functions as a sack as well as an artwork.... I'm sure I should make some pun about letting the cat of the bag at this point...

The other side of the sack came out a bit darker and more tempestuous, but I like both and the contrast between the dynamic, flourescent and white streaks and the smudgy blended dark background which merges into the hessian grid.

Some detail shots...

I think it's an interesting contrast between the dull, but natural brown tone of the formulaic grid and texturalfibres and the vibrant, lurid chaos of the paint marks.
