Kaleidentity Abstracts

I started these four paintings when I was working on my Kaleidentity project - the abstract colour schemes inspired by the colours chosen by some of the project participants. It was a bit of an experiment to see if I could represent their identity in abstraction as well as figuratively through the portraits. I actually finished these paintings months ago, but they have only just dried enough that I could take them out of my attic studio in order to photograph them.

The fourth abstract is actually an amalgamation of all the 10 portraits, rather than the colours chosen by one individual - I basically created it to use up the leftover paint when I had finished each oil painting... Waste not want not!
