Livia always shows up dressed in a rainbow selection vibrant colours - so I think it was hard for her to choose just four colours for this portrait. In the end she opted for bright red, purple and pink - colours that she perceives as representations of strength and femininity and green for the sollice and peace she finds in nature.

Livia has dark brown hair, so I tred to make the colour tones in the hair contrast with her skin.

I find the mouths particularly fiddly to paint when the teeth are showing - but I think this one turned out well.

Overall, I'm happy with how this one has turned out - I think it has really captured Livia's positive and bubbly personality and open, welcoming smile.

I gave Livia her watercolour and ink portrait, framed as a gift for Christmas - and she made a really sweet post about it on Instagram which attracted a lot of comments (most of them in Portugeuse!)
