Work begins on the "Love Dress"

Following multiple requests on social media and dialogue with friends and supporters, I have decided to create a "Love Dress" to follow on from the "Hate Dress".

There has already been a sort of trial version of this counter dress - which was part of my performance at the European Youth Event, where I invited members of the audience to write counter comments in permanent markers onto a white dress whilst I "respoke" the troll comments from my social media. However, the aesthetic of what we called the "empower dress" reminded me somewhat of the last day of primary school where everyone signed each other's schoool shirts and I wanted to create something different... Although I may re-use some of the comments which were written on it.

So whilst sourcing the materials (fabric, ribbon and paint) I want to create the "Love Dress", I have also been gathering the positive comments I intend to write onto the dress from my social media accounts:
